Delhi-NCR weather August 31: Will it rain today in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad? Check IMD forecast

Delhi-NCR is likely to remain dry on Monday, August 31, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting partly cloudy skies across Delhi and neighbouring cities. The IMD has not forecast rain for Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad or Faridabad today.

Temperatures are likely to remain on the higher side, with the maximum expected to reach 35-37°C and the minimum staying around 25-27°C. Southwesterly winds of around 15-25 kmph are also expected during the day.

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies for Delhi on August 31, with no rain expected. The maximum temperature could reach 35-37°C, while the minimum is likely to remain between 25°C and 27°C.

Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35.5°C on August 30 at Safdarjung, which was 1°C above normal. The city received no rainfall during the 24 hours covered by the latest IMD observations.

Will it rain in Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad?

The IMD's district-wise forecast shows partly cloudy skies and no rain for the major Delhi-NCR areas on August 31. This includes Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The department has also issued no weather warning for Haryana and Delhi for the day.

The weather is expected to change from September 1. The IMD forecasts a spell of very light to light rain with thunderstorms and lightning across Delhi-NCR during the afternoon and evening.

Delhi-NCR weather outlook

Rain could become more widespread on September 2, when the IMD expects very light to light rain at many places, with moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning possible at isolated places. Another spell of light rain remains possible on September 3.

For August 31, however, residents across Delhi-NCR can expect a warm, partly cloudy and dry day, with temperatures potentially reaching 37°C and no rain forecast.
