The forecast comes as Delhi-NCR has continued to experience humid weather and temperatures in the mid-30s despite the ongoing monsoon. The IMD’s latest Delhi bulletin also indicates that temperatures are unlikely to change significantly over the next few days.
Delhi weather today: Rain likely from morning to noon
According to the IMD, Delhi will remain generally cloudy on August 19. One or two spells of light rain are expected at many places, while moderate rainfall could occur at isolated locations during the early morning to noon period.The weather office has also forecast another spell of very light to light rain from the evening through the night.
Delhi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain around 32-34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius.
Noida weather today: Cloudy skies with rain spells
Noida is also expected to remain under generally cloudy skies as monsoon activity continues across the National Capital Region.The IMD’s district-wise forecast indicates that Noida could see light rain with moderate rain during the morning to noon period, followed by another spell of very light to light rain during the evening and night.
Gurugram weather today: More rain expected
Gurugram, too, is likely to experience cloudy conditions and intermittent rainfall.The IMD forecast for Gurgaon points to one or two spells of light rain, with moderate rain possible during the early morning to noon period. Another spell of very light to light rain is expected later in the evening and at night.
The forecast could bring some relief from the sticky and humid conditions that have persisted across the Delhi-NCR region.
Faridabad weather today: Light to moderate rain likely
Faridabad is also expected to see generally cloudy skies on Wednesday.The IMD has forecast one or two spells of light rain, with moderate rain possible during the early morning to noon hours. Another spell of very light to light rain could occur during the evening and night.
Ghaziabad weather today: Rain spells likely
Ghaziabad is also expected to remain cloudy, with rainfall likely during different parts of the day.The IMD’s district-wise forecast indicates light rain with moderate rain during the morning period, followed by another spell of very light to light rain during the evening and night.
Will Delhi-NCR get heavy rain today?
While the IMD has forecast moderate rain at isolated locations, the overall Delhi forecast points towards light to moderate rainfall rather than widespread heavy rain.The weather department’s latest subdivision warning, however, lists a heavy-rain warning for Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for August 19. No warning is listed for August 20 onwards in the current seven-day warning outlook.
This means rainfall could vary significantly across Delhi-NCR, with some areas receiving only light showers while isolated pockets could see heavier spells.

The wet spell is likely to continue into Thursday. The IMD has forecast generally cloudy skies on August 20, with one or two spells of light rain at many places and moderate rain at a few places from morning to afternoon. Another spell of very light to light rain is expected during the evening and night.For August 21 and 22, the weather office expects generally cloudy conditions with very light to light rain at a few places during the morning to afternoon period.
Temperatures are expected to remain broadly stable, with the maximum staying in the low-to-mid 30s.
Delhi-NCR weather outlook
For residents of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, Wednesday’s forecast suggests a cloudy and relatively wet day, although rainfall intensity may differ from one part of the region to another.The key window for rain is from the early morning to noon, with another lighter spell possible in the evening and at night. Commuters should therefore keep an eye on local weather updates, particularly if travelling during the morning or evening rain spells.
The IMD said there had been no major change in Delhi’s temperatures over the previous 24 hours. On August 18, Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27.8 degrees Celsius.
