Delhi Traffic Police Lok Adalat: Bench Details
The Lok Adalat will take place in the following court complexes: Dwarka, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Rouse Avenue, Saket, and Tis Hazari. The Delhi State Legal Services Authority will set up 180 benches, with each bench handling around 1,000 cases. Only compoundable traffic challans and notices issued before January 31, 2025, and available on the Delhi Traffic Police Portal, will be considered for settlement during the adalat.Eligibility and Limits for Settling Traffic Challans
Vehicle owners must note that there are specific limits for settlements. Private vehicle owners can settle up to seven notices or challans, which include five notices and two challans. Commercial vehicle owners can settle a maximum of two notices or challans. However, certain types of challans will be excluded from the adalat, such as:Non-compoundable notices
Cognizance declined notices
Paid notices
Notices transferred to regular, evening, or digital courts

Vehicle owners interested in participating must download and print their challans from the Delhi Traffic Police website. The download link will be activated on May 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM. A daily limit of 60,000 challans or notices will be set for downloads until the total limit of 180,000 is reached.
The initiative is part of an effort to streamline the settlement of traffic violations and provide relief to vehicle owners in the city.
