The one-day Lok Adalat will offer relief on selected minor traffic violations, such as no seat belt, no helmet and wrong parking. Applicants must complete online token registration, download their challans, and carry original documents. Serious violations will remain excluded from this settlement process.
Lok Adalat token registration: How to register
- Visit the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) official website
- Select the Lok Adalat registration option
- Fill the application form and upload required documents
- Receive token number and appointment letter on phone or email
- Appointment letter will specify date, time and venue
Applicants must reach at least one hour before their slot and carry original documents along with the token and appointment letter.
Delhi Lok Adalat locations
Hearings will be held at seven district courts in the city:
- Patiala House Courts
- Karkardooma Courts
- Tis Hazari Courts
- Saket Courts
- Rohini Courts
- Dwarka Courts
- Rouse Avenue Court
The link will activate at 10:00 AM on November 3. A maximum of 50,000 challans per day can be downloaded until the overall limit of 2,00,000 is reached.
Delhi Lok Adalat: Challans eligible for waiver or rebate
The Lok Adalat will offer rebates or complete waiver on minor traffic challans including:- Driving without seat belt
- Riding without helmet
- Jumping red light
- Wrongly issued challan
- Over-speeding
- Absence of valid PUC certificate
- Wrong parking
- Driving without licence
- No fitness certificate for vehicle
- Driving in wrong lane
- Ignoring traffic signs
- Driving without number plate
Challans not eligible in Delhi Lok Adalat
No rebate or waiver will be offered on serious offences, such as:- Drunk driving
- Hit-and-run cases
- Death caused by negligent driving
- Driving by minors
- Unauthorized racing or speed trials
- Vehicles used in criminal activity
- Challans pending under court trial
- Challans issued in other states
Delhi Lok Adalat: How cases will be settled
Cases will be taken up according to token numbers. Judges will check challans and decide on waiver or reduction. Repeat offenders or serious cases may still face fines.
