Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS: Sarai Kale Khan RRTS station to be connected with Delhi Metro, ISBT, & Nizamuddin Railway Station
The Sarai Kale Khan station will be connected to various important public transport junctions to ease transportation. Here is everything you must know about the under-construction transport channel.

Developed as a multi-modal hub, the Sarai Kale Khan station will be one of the most crucial stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. It will sprawl across a massive area covering 215 metres in length, 50 metres in width, and 15 metres in height. The facility is likely to be at a distance of 80 metres from the Veer Haqiqat Rai Interstate Bus Terminus.
The Sarai Kale Khan station will have an entry and exit on Ring Road and the Veer Haqiqat Rai Interstate Bus Terminus (ISBT). These facilities will make the RRTS station a one-stop travel junction for people. It will allow the public to switch between different transportation modes without stepping out of the station.
To ease movement, the station will have escalators and ventilated glass lifts. A footpath will be designed from the Sarai Kale Khan station to the ISBT. One of the gates of the RRTS station will also open at the Hazrat Nizamuddin metro station at a distance of 300 metres. The two ends of the ongoing project will be connected through a foot overbridge. The station will constitute four tracks and six platforms to ensure hassle-free transportation.
Reportedly, the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor will allow people to move between the cities in a short span of 55 minutes. The superfast trains are already covering this distance at the speed of 160 kmph during trial rounds. The Ghaziabad-Duhai route is likely to be opened for public use in March 2023. The remaining section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, including 25 stations, will be accessible by 2025. The main purpose of the multi-modal transport link is to streamline transportation by making public transport convenient for everyone.
