Delhi AI summit traffic advisory: Avoid these roads today; check list of diversions, alternate routes you can take

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for February 18, Wednesday, in view of the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. Police said special arrangements have been made and restrictions and diversions will be in force from 4 pm to 10 pm due to VVIP movement and security protocols. "Special traffic arrangements will be in place on 18 Feb, 2026 (1600–2200 hrs) in view of AI Impact Summit–2026. Commuters are advised to plan ahead, avoid affected stretches and follow directions of traffic personnel," Delhi Traffic Police said in an advisory.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, avoid the affected stretches where possible and allow extra travel time. The advisory comes after two days of heavy congestion in central Delhi and adjoining parts of east and south Delhi linked to summit-related movement, diversions and security checks. Police officials have indicated that security will be tighter on Wednesday evening, with high-level VVIP attendance expected, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron.
