Deepinder Goyal takes to Instagram for the first time, says he's "not a boomer anymore"

The CEO has directed his staff to his Instagram page with a tweet, stating he is not a boomer anymore. Since this is his first online interaction with his team, he seems to be looking to emphasise that he is also tech-savvy.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has made his maiden Instagram appearance, shortly after co-founder Mohit Gupta's exit, sharing pictures of the food delivery company's office, reportedly in a bid to boost morale.

Mohit Gupta, the co-founder, has recently quit Zomato mainly due to the plunge in share prices in the stock market.

In the pictures are posters ideated by Goyal, strung up at the Zomato reception area with the intention of motivating the staff.


The CEO has directed his staff to his Instagram page with a tweet, stating he is not a boomer anymore. Since this is his first online interaction with his team, he seems to be looking to emphasise that he is also tech-savvy.

Zomato had recently declared it would be laying off 3% of its 2,50,000 strong staff.

Shares of the food delivery service have plummeted from Rs 162 by 50%. The share price is not a worrying factor, with tech stocks the world over taking a severe beating.
