Deepika Padukone is first Indian to unveil FIFA World Cup trophy

Actor Deepika Padukone became the first from India to unveil the FIFA trophy. At Lusail Stadium, the venue of the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France, Padukone escorted the FIFA World Cup trophy in a specially commissioned truck and unveiled it.

The trophy is made of gold of 18-carat and malachite and weighs 6.175 kg, and unveiling it is an essential component of the ceremonies, creating an international point for India. Deepika Padukone stepped in with former Spanish Professional Footballer and FIFA legend Iker Casillas Fernandez.

The celebrity, dressed in a white shirt, brown overcoat, black belt, and her billion-dollar grin, had millions of cameras flashing at the jam-packed busy arena.
