Deepika Padukone in animated video shows how much she loves rasam & rice

Deepika Padukone loves rasam & rice. Yes, she has said this before. Just how much does she love it? This cute animated video on her recent Instagram post gives a good idea.

The video begins with a young woman and man at a posh restaurant. There is food on other tables, people there are having , but her mind is elsewhere. She thumbs through the menu, and there, hidden among the entries of pastas and sashimis, she spies rasam & rice - aromatic tomato curry with jasmine rice and papadums. She lets out a girly giggle. The food arrives.

As she spoons in the rasam and rice she realises there is something missing. Then, it clicks! She sets the spoon aside and starts eating the rasam and rice, the way experts tell you it should be eaten - with bare hands. There are tears of happiness in her eyes, and in her place now sits an innocent-faced, pigtailed little girl.


So, rasam & rice takes the star actor to her childhood. "Rasam & Rice is an Emotion...Truly," she writes in her post.
