Declaration of CBSE 10th, 12th results may take a month: UGC
As per the sources, CBSE was expected to declare the results by July end. However, the students can expect the results for 12th class by July end and for 10th class by the first week of August.

The results for CBSE class 10 and class 12 results have not been declared. As per the latest University Grants Commission (UGC) notice, it may take nearly one more month to declare the results. According to the notice, the performance report for the first term has been communicated to the schools. Meanwhile, the evaluation of the second term is under process. After completion of this evaluation, the result preparation procedure will start. And the final result will be declared based upon the merging of the weightage of performance in the two terms. This entire process is expected to take about a month’s time.
As per the sources, CBSE was expected to declare the results by July end. However, the students can expect the results for 12th class by July end and for 10th class by the first week of August. Earlier, in 2020, the results were declared on July 30, while in 2021 it was declared in the last week of July for 12th class and in August for 10th class. The pattern to follow this year appears similar to the one followed in the last two years. The prime reason for the delay is due to the two-term exams held this year, whereas the formula to analyze the final result is yet to be decided. The final formula will be based on combining the first term and second term results, plus the internal assessment. But the accurate weightage is yet to be announced.
Further, CBSE has also declared that it will announce the results for those students also who could not attend either of the two terms owing to any valid reason. This boils down to the fact that a separate and special formula will be put in place for them too. On the other side, the parents and students have been objecting to seeking more weightage for internal assessments and minimal for the first term. Moreover, the students demand that the final results should be derived from the ‘best of either terms’ or the marks of whichever term is better should be considered.
Coming to more confusion to the CBSE students, most of the colleges including the reputed Mumbai University are on with their admission procedures. Mumbai University has already released two merit lists.
