Tata dealers in several cities have started accepting unofficial bookings for the new Sierra ahead of its official unveiling on 25 November. While Tata Motors has not opened centralised bookings, showrooms are collecting small token amounts—sometimes as low as ₹21,000—to record customer details and preferred variants. These are dealer-level arrangements intended to gauge early interest, particularly from buyers familiar with the original 1990s Sierra.

The receipts issued for such bookings come from dealerships rather than Tata Motors, and are typically marked as “unofficial” or an “expression of interest.” For customers, this distinction matters because such bookings do not guarantee allocation, delivery timelines or introductory pricing.
