Adipurush Day 9 Box Office collection: Film fails to impress despite attempts to entice fans

Om Raut's adaptation of the Ramayana, Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles opened to a huge box office number in the first three days but has failed to meet the criteria following that.

Poor reviews, problematic dialogues, and lopsided VFX effects brought down the overall value of the film.

On Day 9, the film has only earned a mere Rs 5.25 crore across all languages. Since its first working week, the film hasn't been able to show any signs of growth.


The overall collections are poor if we take into account the star cast and the production costs involved. The overall collection of ‘Adipurush’ now stands around Rs 263.5 crore.

Out of the 263 crore, the first 180 crore are from the first two days itself.

Meanwhile, in an effort to revitalize the film's reception, the creators have significantly reduced ticket prices to a mere Rs 150. Om Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir have also revised the dialogues in an attempt to entice a larger audience. However, despite these efforts, the film continues to struggle, with box office figures sounding the alarm, particularly considering the grand scale on which it was produced.

The movie features Prabhas in the role of Ram, Kriti portraying Sita, and Saif Ali Khan embodying Ravan. Drawing inspiration from the highly revered Indian epic, Ramayan, the film seeks to captivate audiences with its adaptation.
