Da Vinci to gene editing: Asia's richest person Mukesh Ambani reveals his favourite books. Industrialist Harsh Goenka shares video

Mukesh Ambani, Asia's richest person, is an avid reader. During an interaction, Ambani himself revealed his reading habits.

Industrialist Harsh Goenka shared a clip of Mukesh Ambani in which he was heard discussing his favorite books.

"I read a lot of technical stuff. I am reading about gene editing and blockchain," Ambani said in the video.


As per the video, the gene editing book Ambani was referring to is titled CRISPR/Cas Genome Editing by Anjanabha Bhattacharya, Vilas Parkhi, and Bharat Char, while the book on blockchain is authored by Alan Wright.

Ambani also said that he reads non-fiction.

"I read five or six things at one time. I read Leonardo Da Vinci by Walter Isaacson; he is my favorite author," Ambani said.

The Reliance Industries chairman also mentioned that Origin by Dan Brown is another of his favorite books.


In 2021, Bloomberg did a report on Ambani's favorite books.

Ambani then said he read Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World by Fareed Zakaria, Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail by Ray Dalio, The Raging 2020s: Companies, Countries, People—and the Fight for Our Future by Alec Ross, 2030: How Today’s Biggest Trends Will Collide and Reshape the Future of Everything by Mauro Guillén, and Big Little Breakthroughs: How Small, Everyday Innovations Drive Oversized Results by Josh Linkner.

With a net worth of $113.5 billion, Mukesh Ambani is currently the richest person in Asia, followed by Gautam Adani with a net worth of $85.7 billion.
