CUET UG 2026 Update: NTA issues important warning for students and parents ahead of registration last date

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important public notice asking students and parents not to wait until the last day to submit CUET UG 2026 application forms. With the registration deadline set for January 30, the agency warned that heavy traffic on the portal near closing hours could lead to technical problems and failed submissions.

Online registration for CUET UG 2026 started on January 3 and will close on January 30 at 11.50 pm. Candidates can pay the application fee until January 31, also up to 11.50 pm. The NTA has clearly advised applicants to complete the process early to avoid last-minute stress.

In its public notice, the NTA cautioned against delaying the application process. The agency flagged issues such as slow loading, payment failures, and incomplete submissions that often occur when many users access the portal at the same time. It urged students and parents to plan ahead and complete the form well before the deadline.

CUET UG 2026 exam dates and format

CUET UG 2026 will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode between May 11 and May 31 on a tentative basis. The examination will be conducted at multiple centres across India and at 15 centres outside the country, reflecting the growing scale of the entrance test.

Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and required documents

Pay the application fee through available online payment modes

Download and save the confirmation page for future reference

Documents to keep ready

Students are advised to keep essential documents ready before starting the application. These include a valid photo identity proof, Class 10 certificate for date of birth verification, Class 12 marksheet or school details if appearing, a recent photograph, signature, and category or PwBD certificates where applicable.
