The decision has been taken after the change in the date of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid). As per the official notice, both shifts of the examination scheduled for May 28 have been deferred.
Government communication triggers rescheduling
According to the NTA, the postponement follows a government communication regarding the revised date of the public holiday for Eid-ul-Zuha.The agency stated that candidates scheduled to appear on May 28 will now have to wait for revised examination dates, which will be announced separately.

CUET UG 2026 underway across multiple shifts
CUET UG 2026 began earlier this month on May 13 and is being conducted in multiple shifts for admission to undergraduate programmes in central universities and other participating institutions across India.The examination was originally scheduled to continue until early June across various subject papers.
