The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), concluded on June 3, 2025, after being held in both computer-based and pen-and-paper formats across multiple shifts from May 13 onwards. As students await their results, the next major milestone is the release of the provisional answer key—an essential tool for evaluating performance and raising challenges to any discrepancies.

Provisional Answer Key Date

The NTA is expected to release the CUET UG 2025 provisional answer key in the third week of June 2025. Based on past trends, the answer key is typically published 10–12 days after the final exam date. Along with the provisional key, candidates will also get access to their response sheets and question papers.

This interim release helps bring transparency to the evaluation process and gives students a chance to calculate estimated scores before the final results are announced, which is likely to happen by the end of June.

How to Download the CUET UG 2025 Answer Key

Step 1: Once published, the answer key will be available on the official CUET UG website: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. To access it:
Step 2: Visit the official CUET UG portal.
Step 3: Click on the link for “CUET UG 2025 Provisional Answer Key.”
Step 4: Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth or Password.
Step 5: View and download: Your question paper, recorded responses and provisional answer key

Candidates are encouraged to compare the provisional key with their own answers to estimate scores and prepare for further admissions steps.

Challenging the CUET UG Answer Key

If students identify any errors in the provisional answer key, they can raise objections through the NTA’s official portal. The objection window, which usually remains open for 2–3 days, allows candidates to challenge specific questions by submitting supporting documents and paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question.

To submit an objection

Step 1: Log in to the CUET UG portal.
Step 2: Select the question(s) you wish to challenge.
Step 3: Upload valid supporting evidence.

Step 4: Pay the fee online and submit.

After the challenge period ends, the NTA reviews all objections. If valid, the necessary changes will be made in the final answer key, which forms the basis of score calculation.
