The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for candidates planning to appear for the CUET PG 2026. Aspirants must complete their application process by January 14, 2026, as registrations for the postgraduate entrance exam will close soon.

Key Instructions for Candidates

Candidates who have not yet completed their registration are advised to ensure that they:

• Fill and submit the online application form
• Pay the prescribed examination fee
• Download and safely retain the confirmation page for future reference
• Failure to complete any of these steps may result in the application being considered incomplete.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Cities Reduced

NTA has announced a reduction in the number of exam cities for CUET PG 2026. The total number of cities has been cut from 312 to 292.

• 272 cities in India
• 16 cities abroad

This change is aimed at streamlining the examination process.

Exam Pattern and Subjects Remain Unchanged

Despite the reduction in exam cities, NTA has confirmed that there are no changes in the exam pattern or subject structure.

• Duration: 90 minutes per paper

The CUET PG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026.
