National Testing Agency has finalized the comprehensive examination calendar for the Common University Entrance Test (PG) 2026, confirming that the high-stakes assessments will commence on March 6 and conclude on March 27. The agency will manage a massive logistics operation involving over 4.11 lakh registered students appearing for 157 diverse subjects.

CUET PG 2026 Exam Structure

The NTA will conduct the CUET (PG) 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, spreading the 157 subjects across a 15-day window in March. Each day will typically feature two to three shifts, and every individual test paper is strictly limited to a 90-minute duration. While most papers are offered in a bilingual English and Hindi format, language-specific papers and M.Tech or Higher Science subjects will be conducted exclusively in their respective languages or English.

CUET PG 2026 Examination Shift Timings

The NTA has divided the examination day into three distinct windows to manage the high volume of candidates. Shift 1 is scheduled from 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by Shift 2 from 12:30 PM to 02:00 PM, and concluding with Shift 3 from 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM. CUET PG 2026 Medium of Examination and Language Options

While the standard medium for most question papers is bilingual (English and Hindi), the NTA has established specific exceptions. Language-specific papers—of which there are 41—will be conducted in their respective languages. Technical subjects, specifically M.Tech and Higher Sciences, will be administered solely in English. Acharya papers will be in Sanskrit, with the exception of Hindu Studies (Bilingual) and the Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshana, which will be presented in a Trilingual format (Hindi, Sanskrit, and English).
