While the pre-admit card (exam city slip) is a provisional document, the final CTET Admit Card is expected to be released on December 12, 2024, two days prior to the exam day. Candidates must have their admit card to enter the examination hall; without it, entry will not be permitted.

How to Download CTET Pre Admit Card 2024 (Exam City Slip)

3. Log in using your application number and date of birth.
4. The allotted exam city and center details will be displayed.
5. Download the CTET pre-admit card (exam city slip) and take a printout for future reference.

What is Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)?

CTET is a national-level exam conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Elementary (Classes 6 to 8) education. To become eligible to teach in Central Government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other similar institutions, candidates must pass this exam.

The CTET exam is held twice a year and is conducted in an offline, pen-and-paper format. It is expected that over 20 lakh candidates will appear for the exam. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes, and it is divided into two shifts. Shift 1 runs from 09:30 am to 12:00 noon, while Shift 2 is scheduled from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm.

There are two papers in the exam: Paper 1, for those aspiring to teach Classes 1-5, and Paper 2, for those aiming to teach Classes 6-8. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, with no negative marking for incorrect answers.
