When will CBSE Class 12 result be announced?
CBSE has not officially confirmed the result date and time yet. However, based on previous trends and the expected timeline shared by exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Class 12 results are likely between May 11 and May 17, 2026.In the past few years, the Board has usually announced results around May 12 or May 13.
What students should know about passing marks
Students must secure at least 33 per cent marks to pass the CBSE Class 12 examinations. As per CBSE rules, grace marks may be awarded if a student falls short by one or two marks.The Board can also consider grace marks if a paper is found unusually difficult or contains questions outside the prescribed syllabus.
Digital evaluation helped speed up results
CBSE has been using the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets. Under this process, teachers check scanned answer copies digitally through a dedicated platform.The move is aimed at reducing evaluation time and helping the Board declare results faster than before.
