CEO of social networking company Hypersocial, Braden Wallake, who faced heavy criticism for sharing 'crying selfie' on LinkdIn after firing his company employees is again in the news. This time Wallake is getting flakes for announcing the death of his grandmother on LindIn.

Recently, he announced that: "My grandma passed away today. I got the text from my mom, closed my computer, and headed straight over to her house. While driving to my moms, I was reminded days like today are why I do what I do. Because there’s more to life than working.”

"See, hustle culture has developed us into thinking that we have to choose between success at work OR having a personal life. I’ve been there. Especially for business owners, entrepreneurs, sales people, and sales leaders," he said.


He said he had sleepless nights and skipped fun things for work. In addition, he said he missed important events.

Wallake is getting slammed for promoting his company with the emotional post on his grandmother's death.

“This post went from the bad news of grandma passing to promoting the company. Sad for you in many ways,” wrote one user.

Responding on the reply Wallake said: “Not promoting the company. But the ability to step away for important things is the why behind what I do. It's a healthy reminder to keep going.”

Another user commented that “Thinking about the company minutes after the news of grandma passing away, and then making a post about it on LinkedIn is a strange approach to stepping away.”

In August, Wallake was also mocked for posting a photo of himself in tears online after laying off some of its employees.

After sacking employees in his company, he posted a lengthy message on LinkedIn explaining his devastation at dismissing the employees.
