According to a report in Spain’s El Nacional newspaper, Real Madrid FC is willing to offer Ronaldo a position as club ambassador, which will be a non-playing role. Club President Florentino Perez has guaranteed that Ronaldo "will not lack work at the Santiago Bernabéu (stadium) on his return", says the report. The newspaper article further adds that Ronaldo wouldn't return to Real Madrid FC, because he thinks that "it is a cycle that should be considered closed."

Cristiano Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez, mother to his children, also reportedly wants him to return to Spain and Real Madrid FC. There is no confirmation on the same.
