The Chile women's cricket team's tour of Argentina began with a remarkable T20I that witnessed record-breaking performances. In Buenos Aires, the host team achieved a victory margin of 364 runs, after setting an extraordinary target of 428 for Chile in a T20 international.

During Argentina's innings, the opening pair of Lucia Taylor and Albertina Galan displayed exceptional batting prowess. Lucia Taylor scored 169 off 84 balls with 27 fours, establishing a new record for the highest individual score in T20I cricket. Albertina Galan contributed an unbeaten 145 off 84 balls, including 23 fours. Their partnership lasted for 16.5 overs and produced an astonishing 350 runs. Notably, the record-breaking innings did not include a single six.

Chile's Florencia Martinez conceded 52 runs in a single over, setting an unwanted record. The over also included 17 no-balls. Argentina eventually bowled out Chile for just 63 runs, with 29 extras, of which 26 were wides.


Argentina's total score of 427/1 surpassed the previous record in T20I cricket held by Bahrain women, who scored 318/1 against Saudi Arabia in 2022.
