Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja posts the victory of his wife Rivaba in Gujarat elections on Instagram

Ravindra Jadeja, Indian cricketer and Rivaba’s husband announced her victory by posting a picture with his wife on his official Instagram account and captioned the picture ‘ Hello MLA, you truly deserve it. He further wrote in Gujarati 'It's the victory of the people of Jamnagar and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart ’.

Rivaba addressed the media after the victory and thanked everyone in the party for accepting her as a candidate and working and reaching out to the masses to appeal for her. She further added that people voted for BJP because of its work in Gujarat for the last 27 years. They only wanted BJP to take ahead on this journey of development.




She contested for the first time ever in the assembly elections. Rivaba joined BJP in 2019 and the party nominated her for the Jamnagar seat this year. She won by defeating her closest rival, Karshanbhai Kumar of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by a margin of over 53,000 votes. She secured over 57% votes of the constituency. BJP had fielded her to ward off the anti-incumbency factor in the area by dropping off its last serving MLA, Dharmendrasingh Jadeja. Interestingly, Rivaba’s father-in-law had appealed to vote for the Congress candidate and not for her.
