Covid Nasal Vaccine: Here is how to book an appointment for a booster dose on CoWIN

The government has approved the use of Bharat Biotech's Covid nasal vaccine as a booster dose in India. It is a pre-fusion stabilised recombinant replication-deficient adenovirus vectored vaccine specifically created for the intranasal nasal drop. iNCOVACC nasal vaccine can be used as a booster dose and is now available to everyone via private vaccination clinics. Anyone who has received both doses of the Covid vaccine is eligible for the nasal vaccine dose, and the central government has approved iNCOVACC for people aged 18 and up.

Like the Covishield and Covaxin vaccines, the nasal vaccine must be obtained by appointment and can be scheduled online at the CoWIN website. Here is how to book a Covid nasal vaccine appointment online:

Step 1: Navigate to http://www.cowin.gov.in/.

Step 3: After logging in, look for the "Schedule" option.

Step 4: Search for a vaccination centre using either a pin code or a district name.

Step 5: Select the centre of your choice.

Step 6: Choose the date and time for the nasal vaccine booster dose and confirm your time slot.


In private hospitals, the iNCOVACC nasal vaccine will cost Rs. 800 each, excluding the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). The nasal vaccine will first be available as a heterologous booster in private hospitals. According to official sources, it will be included in the Covid vaccination program.
