Couple take bath while riding scooter in Maharashtra, police register case

People do crazy things to get attention on social media. Several videos of influencers keep surfacing over social media showing weird stuff, sometime life-threatening stunts.

A video has surfaced on social media showing a couple bathing while riding on a scooter in Ulhasnagar area in Maharashtra's Thane district. The video went viral on social media, after a Twitter user We Deserve Better Govt. @itsAamAadmi tagged top police officials seeking action on the couple. The complainant demanded that a case should be filed for such "nonsense in the name of entertainment". The video was shot on May 17 at a busy junction in Ulhasnagar area.

"This is Ulhasnagar, is such nonsense allowed in name of entertainment ?This happened on busy Ulhasnagar Sec-17 main signal. Request to take strict action including deletion of social media contents to avoid others doing more nonsense in public," We Deserve Better Govt. @itsAamAadmi tweeted. It post was also tagged to Maharashtra Director General of Police.



Taking action over the viral incident, Thane police said the matter has been forwarded to the local traffic police for further action.

An Ulhasnagar police station official told news agency ANI that a case has been registered against the man and woman who feature in the video.

Meanwhile, the man in the video, Adarsh Shukla, a YouTuber from Mumbai has apologised on Instagram to Mumbai Police for not following the traffic rules of wearing a helmet while driving a two-wheeler. He said in his Instagram Story, "A video in which I am driving an Activa while taking a bath is going viral on social media. However, I was not wearing a helmet while doing so and that was my biggest mistake.'

In his Insta post he also urged urged his followers to wear helmets while driving. He added that he will pay the fine for not following the rules. "Please do not spread misinformation that I am getting arrested. I made a mistake and will pay the fine for the same," he said on his Instagram story.
