A day earlier the handle Bharat Jodo Yatra of the party posted a video of a young girl breaking into tears of happiness at being allowed to walk with the Congress leader.
The girl could not control her emotions and Gandhi drew an arm around her shoulder and hugged her.
Thursday is the last day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kerala. Gandhi would travel to Gudalur in Tamil Nadu by car and resume the foot march in the evening
The Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra, which entered Kerala on September 10, went through the state covering 450 km, touching seven districts in 1e days.
The 3,570 km and 150-day-long foot march started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7. From Kanyakumari, it entered Thiruvananthapuram in south Kerala, before make its way up the state. It will procced further through Tamil Nadu and Karnataka before heading to other states, The Bharat Jodo Yatra will conclude in Jammu and Kashmir after covering 3,570 kms.
