In an old pageant video, Jacqueline Fernandez is answering a question about cosmetic surgery on stage. She believed that cosmetic surgeries were an unfair advantage and against the premise of beauty pageants that celebrated natural beauty. She added that if cosmetic surgery were encouraged, it would boil down to who can afford it and who can’t. It might raise a contest of affordability, and beauty pageants were not about such contests.
The throwback video garnered mixed reviews from Jacqueline’s fans. The reason was simple. Though she publicly condemned cosmetic surgeries, she later underwent them to change her appearance.
Defending Jacqueline, one social media user commented that Jacqueline expressed her opinion on cosmetic surgeries for beauty pageants and nothing else. Hence, she should not be trolled. However, others were quick to point out the irony that the actress herself went under the knife and doesn’t look like her old self.
Jacqueline Fernandez entered Bollywood in 2009 with the movie Aladin. Other films she featured included Race 2, Housefull 2, Housefull 3, Kick, etc. Recently, Jacqueline starred in Ram Setu, sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar. Her upcoming movie is titled Cirkus with Ranveer Singh.
