India's campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 will enter a crucial phase on Monday, with athletes set to compete across multiple disciplines as the athletics events begin in Glasgow.

India opened its gold medal account on Sunday after Mirabai Chanu clinched the top spot in the women's 48kg weightlifting event. The day also brought another medal for the country, with Rishikanta Singh securing silver in the men's 60kg category.

On Monday, all eyes will be on the men's high jump final, where Sarvesh Kushare, Tejaswin Shankar and J Aadarsh Ram will lead India's medal hopes. Tejas Shirse will also begin his 110m hurdles campaign, looking to clear the heats and advance to the final later in the day.
