Commonwealth Games 2026 India squad: Full list of Indian participants representing India in Glasgow

The 2026 Commonwealth Games get underway in Glasgow on Thursday, July 23, bringing together athletes from across the Commonwealth for an 11-day sporting spectacle that runs until August 2. Olympic medallists Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain will spearhead India's campaign.

The 23rd edition of the Games will feature 10 sports—nine fewer than the Birmingham 2022 edition—along with six para sports. Competitions will be held across four venues within an eight-mile corridor: Scotstoun Stadium, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow International Arena and Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

The sports on the programme include athletics and para-athletics, swimming and para-swimming, 3x3 basketball and wheelchair 3x3 basketball, track cycling and para-track cycling, weightlifting and para-powerlifting, bowls and para-bowls, artistic gymnastics, netball, boxing and judo.


India has fielded a 125-member contingent, including para-athletes, after winning 61 medals at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022.

The Indian athletics team is expected to be one of the biggest attractions, led by Tokyo Olympic gold medallist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion Neeraj Chopra. The squad also features national record holders and international medallists, including Gurindervir Singh, Animesh Kujur and Murali Sreeshankar.

India's campaign begins on Thursday with lawn bowls, a sport in which the country won one gold and one silver medal at the Birmingham Games.

Australia topped the medal standings at Birmingham 2022 with 179 medals, including 67 golds, followed closely by England with 176 medals. Scotland finished with 51 medals, including 13 golds.
