Cobra at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie: Tourists run for lives in shocking wildlife encounter, watch viral video

A fun summer afternoon at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie turned into a scary moment when a snake suddenly appeared in the water, causing panic among tourists.

A video of the incident was posted on Instagram by the page @littledehradunstories. The caption read, “A snake entered among the tourists bathing at Kempty Falls in Mussoorie. See how chaos ensued.”

In the video, many visitors can be seen happily enjoying the cool water at the base of the waterfall, which is a famous tourist spot with both shallow and deep areas for swimming.


But the joyful mood quickly changed when someone noticed a snake swimming in the water. Tourists started screaming and quickly tried to get out. Some slipped on the wet rocks, while others grabbed onto the railings to escape safely.

Kempty Falls, located about 15 km from Mussoorie in Uttarakhand, is one of the most visited spots in the region. Surrounded by lush green hills, the waterfall drops from a height of around 40 feet, creating a natural pool below where people often bathe and relax. Built during the British colonial era as a picnic spot, it continues to attract large crowds, especially during the summer months. The area around the falls is dotted with food stalls, souvenir shops, and changing rooms, making it a complete day-trip destination for tourists.
