Coast Guard unfurls flag underwater for 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign: Video

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was launched by PM Narendra Modi on July 22 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's independence.

The Indian Coast Guard has performed an undersea demo of the national flag as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

The Indian Coast Guard tweeted a video of this on Saturday evening with the caption, " "As part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Indian Coast Guard performed an underwater flag demo at Sea. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag."

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign was launched by PM Narendra Modi on July 22 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's independence.


The campaign encourages citizens to hoist the tricolour in their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.

States have mobilized Self Help Groups (SHGs) for the production of flags, ANI reported quoting sources. Local tailoring units and MSMEs have also been roped in. The Ministry of Textiles has identified producers to supply the flags in big numbers.
