ICSE Class 10 and 12 exam results 2022 is likely to be announced this week. According to some reports the result will be declared on 16 July 2022. However, the Board officials have not announced a specific date and time for the declaration of results and an official notice is awaited.

The final result will be evaluated after accounting for the marks of semester 1, semester 2 and practical and internal assessment exams.

After declaring the results of semester 1, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will be announcing the results of the 10th and 12th class board exams towards the end of the ongoing week. The final result will be announced following the results of semester 2. The final result will be calculated by taking the marks of semester 1, semester 2 and practical and internal assessment marks into account.

The students who gave these exams can check their results on cisce.org, where the answer scripts released by the board will be live for 60 days from the date of announcement of the results. Students will be required to enter their Index number, and UID along with the given captcha code to check the result. For those students who might have an objection or want to re-evaluate their marks and answer sheets, they can do so within seven days of the release of the answer scripts. The merit list of the students will be announced after the final result comes out.

It should be noted that no student was given the status of pass or fail in the results of semester 1. However, while the passing marks for students of ICSE class 10th are 33 per cent, the same for students of ICSE class 12th is 35 per cent. Those students who fail to achieve these bare-minimum passing marks will be allowed to give compartmental exams, for which securing passing marks in English and three other subjects is a condition.

Last year, board exams were not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the overall pass percentage of ICSE class 10th was declared 100 per cent, while the same for ICSE Class 12th was 99.93 per cent. Due to this, the list of toppers was also not released. For this year’s final result, the students of both class 10th and class 12th are demanding lower weightage to semester 1 results and a higher preference for the internal assessment scores.
