Cirkus Box Office Day 1: Rohit Shetty's comedy-drama starring Ranveer Singh, failed to make impact on its opening day
Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty's second collaboration, Cirkus, does not succeed in evoking the same enchantment at the ticket counters as their first, Simmba.

Ranveer Singh's Cirkus had a slow morning rush, and the theatre struggled to fill up for the afternoon and evening performances. The film only made Rs. 3.16 crore on its nationwide channels. The opening day box office for Rohit Shetty's movie ranged from Rs. 6.35 crore to Rs. 7.35 crore. The amount is about half of what industry analysts anticipated.
Cirkus ended up being Rohit Shetty's poorest debut in ten years. His most recent film, Sooryavanshi, achieved a double-digit opening with Rs. 26.29 crores. Simmba, a 2018 release, too made Rs. 20.72 crores on its first day of sales. On its first day, Golmaal Again made Rs. 30.14 crore, followed by Dilwale with Rs. 21 crore, Singham Returns with Rs. 32.09 crore, and Chennai Express with Rs. 33.12 crores.
If the movie did not pick up steam during the holidays and the new year, it would be Ranveer's third straight failure.
