Chiyaan Vikram didn't suffer a heart attack, clarifies son Dhruv Vikram

​​​​South superstar Vikram has been hospitalised after he complained about chest discomfort. The actor was supposed to attend the teaser launch of his upcoming film 'Ponniyin Selvan', however, he was rushed to the Kauvery hospital in Chennai.

He wrote, "Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He did not have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect."
Offering a clarification regarding false reports of his father- South superstar Chiyaan Vikram having suffered a heart attack, Dhruv Vikram shared a post on Instagram to update everyone about his father's health and dismissed the reports as 'unconfirmed and baseless'.

He wrote, "Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He did not have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect."

In the same post, Dhruv added, "That being said, we request you to give our family the privacy we need at this time. Our Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumours will be put to rest."
