A woman named Aishwarya, who works with a real estate firm in RR Nagar, woke up on Wednesday morning to find her close friend and choreographer B Navyashree lying dead next to her with her throat slit. The incident occurred at Navyashree's house in Vishweshwaraiah Layout, Kengeri. Police suspect Navyashree's husband, A Kiran, a cab driver, of committing the murder after a night of conflict, and he has been detained.

Navyashree, originally from Bhadravati in Shivamogga district, had invited her childhood friend Aishwarya over to share details of her troubled marriage with Kiran. According to the police, the couple had been facing issues for the past year, with Kiran feeling increasingly insecure due to Navyashree's social status as a choreographer.

The police described the tension in the marriage, noting that Kiran wanted Navyashree to change her profession and often suspected her fidelity. "Differences cropped up between the couple over the last one year," an officer explained, adding that Kiran frequently checked Navyashree's mobile phone, which annoyed her.

On Tuesday evening, Navyashree sought Aishwarya's support and confided in her about the marital discord, expressing helplessness. They visited RR Nagar, where Navyashree met her friend Sunil, who recommended she approach the police for assistance.

Aishwarya decided to stay over at Navyashree's house that night to keep her company. After having beer, they were joined by Kiran for dinner. An argument erupted between Kiran and Navyashree, and Aishwarya had to intervene to prevent Kiran from attacking his wife. Eventually, Aishwarya and Navyashree went to sleep in one room, while Kiran retired to another.

The horrifying discovery was made by Aishwarya the next morning when she felt a dampness in the bed and found it drenched in blood. Navyashree lay next to her with her throat slit. Aishwarya immediately screamed, alerting the neighbors who then contacted the police. By the time the authorities arrived, Kiran had fled but was later apprehended.

"I never thought my friend would be lying dead next to me," Aishwarya reportedly told the police in a state of shock and disbelief.

The childhood friends had faced a nightmarish end to what was meant to be an evening of solace and support. Navyashree and Kiran had married for love, despite opposition from their families, only to see their relationship deteriorate over time.

Kiran's escalating insecurities and suspicions about Navyashree's professional life and fidelity culminated in a tragedy that left the community in shock. The police are continuing their investigation, piecing together the events that led up to the horrific incident.
