Check out Johnny Depp's first sighting as King Louis XV for next film Jeanne du Barry

The French production house helming 'Jeanne du Barry' has released the first images of actor Johnny Depp in his element as the French King Louis XV.

Directed by French actor-director Maiwenn, the movie is inspired by the life of Jeanne du Barry, Louis XV’s last royal mistress at the Court of Versaille, after Madame de Pompadour.

This movie is Depp's first project in three years, during which period he was blacklisted by Hollywood as a result of his tussles with ex-wife Amber Heard.

Production house 'Why Not' confirmed that shooting for the film began in July this year, shortly after Depp won the libel case he had filed against 'Aquaman' actress Heard.

The film also stars Benjamin Lavernhe, Pierre Richard, Melvil Poupaud, Noémie Lvovsky, Pascal Greggory and India Hair.
