ChatGPT marks Elon Musk “Controversial”, Twitter boss reacts

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, recently responded to a social media post on the microblogging site. The Tesla CEO reacted to Issac Latterell’s tweet, which stated that Musk, Donald Trump, Kanye West, and other well-known figures were labelled “controversial” by ChatGPT.


Mr. Latterell’s list displayed a hypothetical table of prominent individuals and if they are regarded as controversial. Several leaders and celebrities were named on the list. The bias of OpenAI’s broad language model was visible.



Isaac Latterell’s tweet said, ChatGPT considers Trump and Elon Musk to be controversial and deserving of special treatment, whereas Biden and Bezos are not. He said he has other examples. Musk responded to the tweet with “!!”.




Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and entrepreneur and socialite Kim Kardashian were also labelled as controversial by the artificial intelligence. Significantly, ChatGPT stated that these public people should be treated “specially”.


PM Narendra Modi is also a “controversial person”, according to the software programme ChatGPT. Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and talk show presenter Oprah Winfrey all deemed “non-controversial”, according to the report.


Numerous Twitter users pointed out that the ChatGPT list might have been established as a result of media attention in newspapers.
