ChatGPT down: OpenAI’s widely used chatbot, ChatGPT, faced another major outage on Wednesday evening, leaving users unable to access the platform. The disruption affected users globally, with many unable to carry out everyday tasks due to an error in the shared prompt. This came as ChatGPT had been experiencing frequent outages since the launch of its image generation tool.

According to Downdetector, the outage peaked on Wednesday evening, with over 2,000 reports from the United States and more than 200 from India. Most of the complaints (over 80%) were related to ChatGPT itself, while 18% of users reported issues with the website and 6% faced problems with the mobile application.

This outage occurred just a day after a similar disruption on Tuesday evening, during which 1,594 users globally reported problems. At that time, 94% of the complaints were directly linked to ChatGPT, raising questions about OpenAI’s ability to manage the increasing demand for its AI services.
