Chandigarh Carnival 2022: Check the event list and who are performing in the three-day festival starting today

The three-day Chandigarh Carnival was formally inaugurated today, Friday, by Union Territory administrator Banwari Lal Purohit at the open field opposite the Government Museum and Art Gallery in Sector 10, Chandigarh. The three-day Carnival will end on December 4. The festivities will include a broad range of exciting events including building an amusement park, cultural programmes, and musical nights. The carnival is happening after a break of two years. The Carnival was not organised in 2020 and 2021 due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

The UT administration has prepared a plan of city-wide events featuring rides, games, and vendors around the city. The motto "Apna Shehar Apna Jashan" serves as the core motif for this year's event. The tourism bureau has set up rides similar to those seen at amusement parks and will hold cultural activities throughout the event period, including three giant musical nights. In addition, Laser Valley will have a snack court, a trade booth area, and an amusement park.

From 10 am to 5 pm, the event will take place at the new lake in Sector 42. It will also feature performances by artists from Assam, Gujarat, Manipur, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Crowd members may also take the stage to perform in front of the audience. According to regulators, rides with a significant risk of injury will not be installed.


Artists such as Jassie Gill, Shaan, and Babbal Rai may perform in the Chandigarh Carnival. Artists from South Korea, Russia, Bangladesh, and Nepal will lead workshops during the Carnival.
