Championship play-off final triumph promotes Nottingham Forest to the Premier League after long 23 years
With a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield in the Championship play-off final, Nottingham Forest clinched promotion to the Premier League for the first time in the long period of 23 years, thus becoming the first club from the Midlands to achieve this.

The most lucrative football match in world history was won by Steve Cooper's team after Levi Colwill's own goal that was made late in the first half in Wembley. This promotion is expected to be worth at least $214 million or £170 million, thus increasing the revenue.
The huge financial windfall will be gratefully accepted by Forest, but it was the relief at being reunited with the elite of English football that drove frenzied scenes of celebration among their thousands of fans waiting for this moment.
Forest will host the Premier League's elite in their City Ground stadium which is located on the banks of River Trent for the first time in the 21st century.
This promotion was nothing less than personal win for Cooper. Since he has replaced Chris Hughton in September he has dreamt of revitalising Forest.
Despite Forest's bleak start to the season, Cooper managed to remove the bitter memory of last year's Championship play-off final defeat against Brentford. He also erased the bitter taste of defeat against Swansea.
Cooper said that he is really happy for both the players and the fans. Everyone who is connected with this football team deserved this win and they are now looking forward to a bright future. It is nothing less than relief and pride. This win is not about him but it has changed his life. They have brought Nottingham to Wembley with this win. They have now taken over the place and are in the Premier League.
