'Chaku thodi marna hota hai...': Why Ahmedabad schoolboy stabbed his senior, chilling chat with friend reveals

A Class 10 student of a private school in Ahmedabad was stabbed to death by his junior after an altercation, sparking massive protests and vandalism by parents and locals on Wednesday, as reported by PTI.

Police said a preliminary investigation uncovered a disturbing chat between the accused and his friend, where the boy openly admitted to the crime. The conversation, accessed by the police and reported by India Today, also pointed to what allegedly provoked him to attack his senior with a knife.

The chilling exchange went like this:


Friend: Bhai, did you do something today?
Accused: Yes.
Friend: Did you stab someone?
Accused: Who told you?
Friend: Please call for a minute.
Accused: No, no. I am with my brother. He doesn’t know what happened today.
Friend: He (the victim) has died.
Accused: Tell him (the common friend) that I killed him. He knows me, tell him right now.
Friend: What actually happened?
Accused: Arrey, he (the victim) asked me, “Who are you and what will you do?” etc.
Friend: You can’t stab someone to death for this. You could have just beaten him up, not killed him.
Accused: Whatever happened has happened now.
Friend: Take care of yourself. Go underground for some time. Delete these chats.
Accused: Ok.

The incident took place at the Seventh Day Adventist School on Tuesday. The Class 10 student, who was stabbed by his junior, later died during treatment at night.

By Wednesday morning, anger spilled over as hundreds of people, including the victim’s relatives, parents of other students, and members of the Sindhi community, stormed the school premises, demanding accountability from the administration.

The protest soon turned violent, with the mob vandalising school buses, cars and two-wheelers, and even attacking staff members, according to police. Security personnel initially struggled to control the situation but eventually pushed the crowd out of the school.

Later, the protesters staged a sit-in on the road, blocking traffic and shouting slogans against the police, while insisting on strict action against the school authorities.
