The Baahubali team has joined the viral Coldplay concert meme trend by sharing a humorous post featuring actors Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. The post, referencing the much-discussed video of Coldplay’s concert featuring Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR head Kristin Cabot, was shared on Saturday and quickly caught the attention of fans.

Meme takes dig at Coldplay concert video

The video from Coldplay's concert, showing Byron and Cabot trying to hide their faces, sparked widespread speculation and memes online. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had commented during the concert, “I hope we didn’t do something bad... Either they are having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Soon after, it came to light that both individuals are married to other people — Andy Byron to Megan Kerrigan Byron and Kristin Cabot to Andrew Cabot, who is the CEO of Privateer Rum.

Baahubali post delights fans

In response to the viral moment, the Baahubali team posted an image of Prabhas and Anushka Shetty from Baahubali 2, portraying Baahubali and Devasena in a close moment. The caption read, “CEO and HR of Maaahishmathi” followed by a hug emoji.

Fans flooded the comments section with reactions. One user wrote, “Admin, whoever you are, I love you.” Another commented, “Hey Admin, you’ve wired something brilliant.” A third added, “You didn’t ”.

Another fan wrote, “Just wait, Rajamatha might kick the CEO out of the palace too!”. One more comment read, “Ayo cold play reference in India (sic)”.

Baahubali to return to theatres

Alongside this social media buzz, the makers of Baahubali announced a theatrical re-release to mark the 10th anniversary of Baahubali: The Beginning. The special edition, titled Baahubali: The Epic, will combine both parts of the film — The Beginning and The Conclusion — into one continuous story.

The re-release is scheduled for 31 October and aims to deliver a seamless and immersive experience for audiences.

Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the Baahubali series set new standards in Indian cinema with its scale and storytelling. The upcoming re-release intends to revive that cinematic experience for both longtime fans and new viewers.

Astronomer CEO resigns after viral Coldplay video

Andy Byron, CEO of data software firm Astronomer Inc., resigned after a video from a Coldplay concert sparked backlash online. The video showed Byron closely embracing the company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, during a live concert. Both are married to other people.

Astronomer confirmed the resignation in a statement on Saturday. “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted,” the company said. Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy will serve as interim CEO while the board begins its search for a new leader.

Incident leads to internal investigation

The video was taken during a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. As the camera focused on Byron and Cabot, they appeared on the kiss cam. Byron quickly moved out of the frame, and Cabot covered her face with her hands. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin remarked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The video quickly went viral, and social media users identified both individuals through their professional profiles. Within a day, Astronomer placed both Byron and Cabot on administrative leave. “The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter,” the company said.

Questions remain over Kristin Cabot’s role

As of now, Kristin Cabot remains on leave, and the company has not announced any further decisions about her role. Astronomer clarified that the woman in the video was Cabot, not Vice President of HR Alyssa Stoddard, as some online posts had incorrectly claimed.

Neither Byron nor Cabot has made any public statements. Byron’s wife is marketing professional Megan Kerrigan, and Cabot is married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum.

Online criticism and public reaction

The online response to the incident has been strong, with many users questioning whether Cabot should also step down. One social media user wrote, “I wonder if Kristin Cabot will also resign.” Another posted, “You’d have to think that Kristin Cabot will resign or be terminated also. My heart goes out to Megan Kerrigan and her two teen sons.”

Astronomer has not commented on whether further action will be taken.

Focus shifts back to business

In its statements, Astronomer has emphasized that the controversy has not impacted its operations. The company is known for its Astro platform, which runs on Apache Airflow. “Our product and our work for our customers have not [changed]. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems,” the company said.
