CBSE student alleging mismatch in Physics answer sheet called 'Pakistani': 'Made X account because we could not apply for reevaluation'

A CBSE Class 12 student has triggered a major online discussion after claiming that the Physics answer sheet uploaded under his roll number during the board’s re-evaluation process does not belong to him at all.

The student, who shared his concerns in a detailed post on X, alleged that the handwriting, answers, and writing style in the uploaded answer sheet were “completely different” from his own.

The claim comes amid ongoing concerns from several students regarding blurry scans, missing pages and unexpected marks after CBSE introduced its new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluations.

CBSE Physics Answer Sheet Mismatch: Student Claims the Answer Sheet Is Not His

According to the student, the issue came to light after he applied for photocopies of his answer sheets following unexpectedly low marks in Physics.

When the copies were uploaded, he said he was immediately shocked.

“I am shattered because the Physics answer sheet uploaded by CBSE is not mine,” the student wrote.

He further claimed that not just him, but even his family members and teachers noticed the difference instantly.

“The Physics answer sheet sent by CBSE is not my answer sheet at all. I KNOW this is not my handwriting and it did not have the questions I attempted,” he wrote.

The student also shared comparisons between the uploaded Physics answer sheet and his English and Computer Science papers, along with handwritten notes.

According to him, the English and Computer Science copies matched each other clearly, while the Physics paper looked like it belonged to “another student entirely.”

CBSE Student called Pakistani; Brother Responds

As the post gained traction, the controversy also took a personal turn online after some users began questioning the authenticity of the account and allegedly calling the student “Pakistani.”

Responding to the backlash, the student’s brother, Siddhant Srivastava, shared a post defending him and explaining why the account was created.

“I am the brother of Vedant and I am appalled by seeing how people are calling us Pakistani,” he wrote.

He further explained that Vedant did not previously have a Twitter/X account because he had been focused on studies during the board exam period.

“Yes Vedant did not had twitter because he was busy studying instead of tweeting,” the post said.

According to Siddhant, the family created the account only to raise the issue publicly after facing difficulties with the re-evaluation process.

“We made this account for tweeting his genuine issues because we could not apply for reevaluation,” he added.

What Differences Did The Student Point Out?

The student claimed the mismatch went far beyond minor handwriting variations.

“The handwriting style, letter formation, spacing, slant, sentence flow, everything is different,” he wrote.

“This is not a minor variation. It is completely different writing.”

What Did The Student Demand From CBSE?

The student urged CBSE to conduct an urgent investigation into the matter.

He requested the board to:

• Verify the original answer sheet
• Audit the scanning and tagging process
• Check whether answer sheets were exchanged during evaluation

The post also highlighted the emotional pressure students face during board examinations.

“I studied for an entire year. I sacrificed sleep, peace of mind, outings, everything for these exams,” the student wrote.

“And now I don’t even know whether MY actual Physics paper was checked.”

Social Media Reactions To The Viral Post

As the post gained traction online, users flooded the comments section with concern, questions and advice.
Reactig to his post, his brother replied: I am appalled by seeing how people are calling us Pakistani, Vedant did not had twitter because he was busy studying instead of tweeting and we made this account for tweeting his genuine issues because we could not apply for reevaluation.

One user asked: “Sorry for what I am asking, did you receive it via email or via the website download link? I haven’t received mine yet despite successfully paying at 8:27 pm on 20th May.”

Another user questioned the verification process itself: “Don’t they give the answer paper with the admit card number?”
Some users also advised the student to escalate the matter legally. “Bro, you should approach the Delhi High Court urgently,” one comment read.
