According to CBSE, the updated timeline has been introduced to strengthen evaluation protocols and improve the overall experience for students accessing post-result services.
CBSE Says New Portal Designed for Transparency and Stability
In an official statement, CBSE said the Post-Result Activities portal has been designed to ensure smooth processing of applications for students who wish to request verification or re-evaluation of their answer books.The board explained that shifting the operational date to June 1, 2026, will help maintain higher standards of evaluation and reduce technical disruptions that students have previously reported during peak usage periods.

CBSE has also provided dedicated support channels for students facing issues or seeking assistance during the post-result process. Applicants can contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or reach out via email at resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in.Concerns Over On-Screen Marking System Addressed by CBSE
The announcement comes in the backdrop of recent concerns surrounding the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. CBSE had earlier clarified that claims of the evaluation portal being compromised were false.The board stated that the URL circulating on social media was different from the official evaluation platform and confirmed that the system used for marking answer sheets was secure and functioning as intended.
CBSE also admitted that an earlier post contained a minor typographical error in the URL, where an extra “s” was added inadvertently, and later issued a correction.
CBSE Re-evaluation Portal Access And Login Issues: Student Complaints Over Portal Glitches
Despite CBSE’s clarification, several Class 12 students reported technical issues while accessing the post-result portal during previous sessions. Complaints included blank pages, unresponsive links, and captcha-related errors, which prevented some students from completing their applications.However, CBSE officials maintained that the website was operational and suggested that some of the disruptions could be linked to internet connectivity or high traffic on the portal.
IIT Experts to Assist CBSE for Technical Improvements
In response to growing concerns, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed that experts from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and IIT Kanpur be involved in improving the system.Their role will be to support CBSE in strengthening technical infrastructure and ensuring a smoother, more reliable post-result process for students across the country.
CBSE 2026 Fees: Answer Sheet Verification And Re-evaluation
CBSE has also announced a significant reduction in fees for post-result services to make the process more accessible for students. The cost for obtaining scanned copies of answer sheets, verification, and re-evaluation has been reduced to Rs 100 in several categories.The fee for re-checking each question has been fixed at Rs 25, reflecting the board’s effort to simplify and encourage transparency in the evaluation process.

With the updated portal schedule, reduced fees, and technical upgrades in progress, CBSE aims to improve trust and efficiency in its post-result framework.
