Why has CBSE released the date sheet 101 days before examinations?

CBSE has released the 2027 board examination timetable more than three months before the first paper. The board considered several factors while preparing the schedule. These include providing sufficient gaps between subjects commonly chosen together, considering the tentative dates of major entrance examinations and managing the number of students appearing at examination centres. The board also considered more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that students do not face clashes between examinations for subjects they have selected.

CBSE said the early release of the timetable was possible because schools submitted their List of Candidates (LOC) data on time.
