CBSE CTET July 2023: Registration begins on ctet.nic.in, check eligibility & process to apply

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the registration process for the session in July. The CBSE CTET July 2023 is the 17th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

Candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam can apply till May 26. The application forms are available on the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test ctet.nic.in.

While the last date to submit the application form is May 26, candidates can pay the application fees till May 27, 2023.


According to the official notification released by the CBSE, The online application process will begin from 27-04-2023 (Thursday) onwards and the last date for submitting the online application is 26-05-2023 (Friday) up to 23:59 hrs.
However, the application fee can be paid up to 27-05-2023 (Saturday) before 15:30 hrs.

Step 1. Go to the official website ctet.nic.in
Step 2: On the home page, click on CTET July 2023 registration link
Step 3: A new tab will appear. Fill in your required details.
Step 4: After filling out the application form, check the payment mode and pay the amount.
Step 5: Click on submit and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Candidates who qualified for the intermediate exam with a minimum of 45%, passed graduation with 50%, and cleared post-graduation with 55% are eligible for CTET 2023.

CBSE CTET July 2023: Exam Pattern

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test comprises two papers: Paper I is for those candidates who wish to teach students in grades I through V, and Paper II is for those who want to educate students in grades VI through VIII. Each question on the CTET is a multiple-choice question (MCQ) with four possible answers, only one of which is correct.

Candidates who are from the general and OBC categories will have to pay Rs 1000 for Paper I or II. Candidates who are applying for both papers will need to Rs 1200. Applicants for the SC, ST, and differently-abled person categories will pay Rs. 500 for paper I or II and for both papers they need to pay Rs. 600.
