The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed the re-examination date for candidates affected by the cancellation of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 at two centres in Vaishali (Hajipur), Bihar.

The re-exam will now be conducted on 1 March 2026.

CTET 2026 Exam Cancelled at Two Hajipur Centres

The CTET examination held on 7–8 February 2026 was cancelled at the following centres due to “unavoidable circumstances”:

  • 125016 – St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar
  • 125014 – Lakshya International Academy
Only candidates who were allotted these centres are required to appear for the re-examination.

Revised Admit Cards to Be Released Soon

CBSE has stated that revised admit cards will be made available shortly through candidates’ application log-in accounts on the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.

Affected candidates must download the updated admit card and follow the revised schedule accordingly.

In its official notice, the board stated: “All the candidates who were allotted above centres are hereby informed to download the revised admit card from their application log-in through CTET website i.e. ctet.nic.in and appear in the examination accordingly.”

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding reporting time, exam instructions and other important details.

No Further Opportunity in CTET 2026

CBSE has clarified that no additional opportunity will be provided to these candidates in the 21st edition of CTET. Requests for change of examination centre or date will not be entertained.

Answer Keys and OMR Sheets to Be Released

After the examination, CBSE will publish the provisional answer keys and scanned images of candidates’ OMR answer sheets on the official website.

Candidates will be able to review both the answer keys and their recorded responses online.

What Is CTET?

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a qualifying examination for candidates seeking teaching positions in central government schools and other institutions that accept CTET scores.

Clearing the exam is a mandatory requirement for recruitment in various government-affiliated schools across India.

Candidates affected by the cancellation are encouraged to prepare accordingly and ensure they download their revised admit cards ahead of the 1 March re-examination.
