The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the curriculum for the academic session 2026-27 for Classes 9 and 10 today at 3 pm. The webinar will be organised in the auditorium at CBSE Headquarters, CBSE Integrated Office Complex, Sector-23, Dwarka, in Delhi. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, CBSE announced that it will release the curriculum for academic session 2026–27 for Classes IX–X today, April 2, 2026.

CBSE Class 9-10 syllabus 2026-27

The CBSE will today, in a webinar, release the new curriculum for classes 9 and 10. The syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 will be out at 3 pm today.


Once the syllabus is released, the entire curriculum document will be made available on the CBSE Academic Portal. Schools have been directed to download the full curriculum, including the introductory guidelines, and circulate it among teachers and students for immediate reference.

Parents and students can check the Class 9 and 10 syllabus on its official YouTube handle: t.co/Y5zAAtWFPr. Students enrolling in Classes 11 and 12 for the 2026–27 academic session can check the complete curriculum and detailed scheme of studies on the official website, cbseacademic.nic.in. The Part 2 curriculum, which includes languages, elective subjects, and internal assessment components, is also available on the portal for reference.

CBSE has announced that it will introduce the scheme of studies recommended in the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-2023) for Class 9 from the current academic year. To explain the new structure and highlight the key changes under the Secondary curriculum for 2026–27, CBSE organised a special webinar for educators and stakeholders.

It is pertinent to note that CBSE has released the Secondary Curriculum: Part 2 (Classes XI-XII). This document outlines the scheme of studies, which includes Languages (Group-L), Academic Electives (Group-A), and Subjects for Internal Assessment.

CBSE has directed schools to put the revised curriculum into effect by making all necessary arrangements in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. It has also mandated strict compliance with both general instructions and subject-specific requirements.

Emphasising the objectives of the updated framework, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stated that the curriculum aligns with the vision of NCF-2023, focusing on competency-based education, experiential learning, flexibility, and the holistic development of students.

“Heads of Institutions have been urged to sensitise teachers and conduct special Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to inform parents and students about the key features of the curriculum changes, ensuring effective implementation from the start of the Academic Session 2026–27,” read the notice.
