More than 18 lakh students, including nearly 10.2 lakh boys and 8.3 lakh girls, are eagerly waiting for their Class 12 results. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the results in the third week of May 2026, as stated by Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj in a conversation with news agency PTI.

Exam timeline

The Class 12 board examinations were conducted from February 17 to April 10, after which the evaluation process and result preparation began.

Steps to check marksheet via official website

Step 1: Visit the official CBSE results portal results.cbse.nic.in

Step 2: Click on "Senior Secondary School Examination (Class XII) 2026"
Step 3: Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin
Step 4: Click on "Submit"
Step 5: Your marksheet will be displayed on the screen
Step 6: Download and save it for future reference

Step 1: Visit the DigiLocker CBSE portal cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in

Step 4: Click on "Submit" to access your marksheet

Passing criteria

Students must secure at least 33 per cent marks overall, along with separate passing marks in both theory and practical exams, to qualify.
